ALDORANDE
ALDORANDE
Sunday 27th April at Juju’s Bar & Stage
Aldorande is a French Jazz-Funk quintet led by Virgile Raaëlli on bass (Setenta, Camarão Orkestra, Joe Bataan) with Florian Pellissier on keyboards (Iggy Pop, Guts, Setenta, Cotonete, Joe Bataan, Di Melo...), Mathieu Edward on drums (Chassol, De La Soul, Setenta, Joe Bataan...), Erwan Loeel on percussion (10LEC6, Camaraõ Orkestra...) & Laurent Guillet on guitars (Setenta, Joe Bataan...).
This musical UFO escaped from the 70s rehabilitates the genre in the tradition of Azymuth, Headhunters, Cortex, George Duke or Roy Ayers, creating modern standards alternating sensual cosmic phrasing, syncopations, first-class hand-sewn keyboards on a killer rhythm: a groove machine so well oiled that even downtempo ballads would levitate the whole humanity united toward time and space...
Aldorande is a space musical saga part of a trilogical journey begun and printed on wax in 2019 through 2 previous albums released on Favorite Recordings, and of which the third chapter, due to be released in early 2025, is recorded with great care on analog tapes, honey for experienced ears.
