Audrey Powne, a Naarm/Melbourne-born, UK-based artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, is a force in the future jazz and soul scene. Known for her extraordinary technical prowess and creative inventiveness, she blends genres effortlessly—from R&B ballads to cinematic soundscapes—while drawing inspiration from legends like Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, and D’Angelo.
Her solo debut EP, Bed I Made (2020), received critical acclaim for its fusion of pop songwriting, jazz improvisation, and soul. In 2023, she signed with BBE Records to release her debut album From the Fire, which she composed, produced, and arranged. The album, praised for its innovation, has been featured on BBC Radio 6, Jazz FM, and Spotify playlists, with performances at Jazz Café London, Ronnie Scott’s, and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Beyond her solo career, Powne has collaborated with Maceo Parker, Jose Gonzalez, and The Teskey Brothers. Her multifaceted artistry—spanning trumpet, vocals, songwriting, and production—cements her as a rising star in the global jazz and soul landscape.
