South London artist BINA. debuted in 2019 with her EP “Humble Abode”, blending alternative R&B, neo-soul, and indie. Inspired by Kelela, Erykah Badu, and BADBADNOTGOOD, BINA. is known for her versatile vocals, whether on bedroom pop or experimental jazz beats. Her music reflects the self-discovery journey of a young dark-skinned Black woman, and she also produces and DJs. After modeling for brands like Anciela London and Doc Martens, BINA.’s single Boundaries premiered on BBC 1XTRA, followed by Dark Cloud, both receiving widespread support. In 2022 and 2023, her singles like Blackjack and Just Like Her Father showcased a darker, more mature sound, leading to editorial playlist features and a sold-out 2023 headline show.
