About Jackson Mathod
Jackson Mathod is a UK producer and multi-instrumentalist who fuses influences from Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, and Mike Skinner, creating a diverse and distinctly British sound. The pair have regularly joined forces on the session and live circuits, and this mixtape sees their musical minds combine for the first time on wax for a full project. The new seven-track project is a free-flowing pool of textured sounds, each collaboration teeming with natural synergy, dancing between Futuresoul, Alternative R&B and a sprinkle of Jazzy beats.
Drawing on influences from the likes of Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove and Christian Scott, Jackson Mathod’s music delivers a very simple and universal message: have fun, move, and enjoy the amazing musicianship on display. After studying Jazz at Guildhall School of Music and Dram, he quickly went onto the session musician circuit, playing for high-profile artists such as Stormzy and Jordan Rakei.
Jackson has seen support from across the world of Jazz, notably key nods from BBC 6Music, BBC 1Xtra, Jazz FM, Jamie Cullum and Gilles Peterson.
