Providing a space for both emerging and established artists, In Real Time has become a beacon for music enthusiasts and musicians alike.
Join Illasoul on Friday 25th April for a special DJ takeover for what promises to be a unique sonic experience. Immerse yourself in soulful sounds spanning across a diverse range of genres, from Jazz & Broken Beat to Funk & Hip Hop.
TJT
One of the Co-founders of Illasoul, Tai, aka 'TJT', is a DJ and vinyl enthusiast born and raised in London. With a deep love for records and a knack for mixing different sounds, TJT brings something unique to every set he plays. He regularly broadcasts live on the airwaves, with sets across stations such as Voices, Kindred, Subtle & Bangkok Community Radio, and frequents Hifi bars across London & beyond. Recent highlights include supporting the legendary Patrick Forge as part of his DeepDig Session, Into the Burrows Festival, and a six-hour all-night takeover at Grow Hackney. Whether he’s spinning at Illasoul or any other gig, you can always expect quality music, great energy, and a love for the culture that resonates through each record played. Expect a blend of Jazz, Broken Beat, UK Garage, Hip Hop, Reggae, House, and Jungle.
jamie.stew
jamie.stew, co-founder of Illasoul, is a London-based producer and DJ with roots in South Africa. Whether you’re tuning into his monthly Voices Radio show or catching him behind the decks, expect an infectious energy that mirrors his exuberance for music—both in his productions and live sets. Drawing inspiration from J Dilla, Knxwledge, and Kaidi Tatham, jamie.stew curates a rich soundscape that blends Funk, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Rare Groove, Jazz, and Broken Beat, delivering a dynamic experience on and off the dance floor.
Aysia Scott
Aysia Scott is a 21-year-old lyricist, poet, artist, rapper, and musician from North London’s vibrant Tottenham N17. An early passion for poetry evolved into an obsession with hip-hop and rap, and an admiration of the honesty and vulnerability of artists who used their music to convey life experiences and address social issues. Inspired by hip-hop pioneers like MC Lyte, KRS-One, Queen Latifah, and Lauryn Hill, as well as jazz legends such as John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker, Aysia Scott's artistry exudes depth and intelligence far beyond her years.
Ralph Richards
A North London DJ and music producer with eclecticism at his core, Ralph Richards seamlessly bridges the gap between daytime grooves and late-night rhythms—always in pursuit of fresh, original sounds from across the globe. His diverse influences shine through in his productions and DJ sets, fusing genres such as UKG, Broken Beat, Soul and Jazz, showcasing his signature blend of genre-defying energy.
