PANOOC (DJ SET) —

Saturday 26th April at Rich Mix
23:15pm-01:00am

Trans DJ/Producer/Instrumentalist Panooc (They/Them) blends their roots as a jazz saxophonist with an enduring love for electronic music in all its forms. Originally from a small rural village in Scotland, they found their musical footing in Boston and New York City, diving into the NYC house and techno scene in 2011. Early releases on iconic labels like Ultra Music/Sony set the tone for a career that has since spanned continents and genres.

Now based in the UK, Panooc has built a reputation as a boundary-pushing DJ, radio host, and talent booker for the acclaimed queer collective XOXA. Their musical journey includes collaborations and performances with legends such as Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley, Todd Edwards, Danny Tenaglia, and contemporary favourites like Midland, Lauren Flax, Amy Dabbs, Job Jobse, and Jaguar.

They’ve played some of NYC’s most iconic venues—Elsewhere, House of Yes, The Lot Radio, and Good Room—and continue to tour internationally, lighting up dance floors at queer events including Adonis (London), Queer House Party (London), They Party (Glasgow), BRENN. (Berlin), Others To The Front (Madrid), and XOXA (NYC). Venue highlights include Sisyphos, Tresor, SchwuZ, Suicide Club (Berlin), Musicbox (Lisbon), Sirloco (Madrid), and Dalston Superstore, The Cause, and Rye Wax (London).

Their music has been released on Brooklyn’s Fortune Signal, LA’s Dome of Doom, Logic 1000’s Mixmag Cover Mix EP, and queer-forward labels such as Super Drama Records, Queer House Party, and Delusional Records. Original tracks have received airplay on BBC Radio via selectors like I. Jordan, Michelle Manetti, Gina Breeze, and Jaguar.

Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Panooc brings unmatched musicality and soul. Their sets are marked by rhythmic depth, melodic finesse, and an innate sense of groove that invites total release. It's music that finds the dance floor in each of us—the one where we are truly free.
