SANS SOUCIS
SANS SOUCIS
Saturday 26th April at 93 Feet East (Live Room)
Sans Soucis (they/them) is the musical project of Italian-Congolese artist Giulia Grispino, whose work blends effervescent electronics, alt-R&B, and pop melodies. Inspired by a desire to reclaim the joy and authenticity of childhood, their music offers a radical act of self-expression. With influences ranging from Little Dragon to Joni Mitchell and Rihanna, Sans Soucis crafts a vibrant sound filled with eclectic textures and meaningful lyrics.
After moving to London at 19, Giulia taught themselves guitar and began writing songs that confront personal and societal issues. Their debut album, Circumnavigating Georgia, explores themes of identity and growth, structured around their family history and lived experiences. The album’s narrative weaves together a rich tapestry of sound and storytelling, showcasing Giulia’s artistic evolution.
Recognized for their talent with accolades like the Grand Jury Prize at the 2023 Music Moves Europe awards and features as Spotify's Radar artist, Sans Soucis is set to engage audiences with both music and an accompanying film, transforming their journey into a multi-sensory experience.
